This lovely forward controlled lorry was first registered in 1947 and has a V8 side-valve 3622cc petrol engine. Production of these lorries began in 1937 and finished in 1949.

They proved to be difficult to work on mechanically, as the steering column had to be lifted out through the roof, and the front set of CB points in the engine’s distributer had to be set with the use of a mirror.

This truck is a classic of its time, and was bought privately by Oakham Treasures from Harold Johns in Chepstow.
